ODOP Directory Hub
ODOP identifies one signature product per district to build branding, market access and institutional support around it — now scaled nationwide to hundreds of districts.
How Products Get Selected
Since its 2018 launch, the ODOP framework has grown from a handful of pilot districts into the organising principle behind PMFME's cluster-based approach — most food-sector clusters supported under the scheme are, in effect, built around an ODOP-identified product for that district.
State governments typically weigh factors like existing production volume, concentration of traditional skill, raw material availability, and export or branding potential before finalising a district's product. The goal is to formalise and scale something that already has a natural local advantage, rather than introducing an entirely new industry from scratch.
